Healing

"Love is the ultimate truth at the heart of creation."  - Deepak Chopra

I would like to add, "Love is the ultimate truth at the heart of healing."  Many are healing from emotional wounds recently, and this is important to know for them.  But this applies to physical healing as well.  Don't just read this over  and quickly write it off as cliche.  If you stop and really think about it, you will realize that this is actually practical in healing.

Love is the ultimate truth at the heart of healing

Think about it.  God created man and everything out of love.  The power to create life is related to (if not the same as) the power to raise life from the dead.  Jesus raised men from the dead out of love.  Having been able to raise the dead, healing people was naturally no problem for Jesus.

Jesus healed many people out of love.  (Matthew 9:36, Matthew 20:34, Matthew 14:14)  Love is an essential ingredient and starting point when it comes to healing, physically and emotionally.

I am not writing this as a teacher, but I am sharing as someone who has much to learn myself.  Looking at God as Jesus demonstrated, I see that I have much too learn about love.  However, I do recommend the following when we need to heal:

1. Speak to God.  He wants to love you and help you if you let Him.  Seek Him.  Seek Him out to talk to Him.

2.  Seek someone to talk to (preferably, someone with a connection to God, but if not, anyone you feel comfortable talking to.)

3. Serve.  Seek things to do to serve others and serve God.  (Asking God for guidance in where and how to serve would also be good.)  Working on something greater than yourself contributes to healing.
